Hello, lovely. I’m Emily Lauren,  a Virginia based elopement and wedding photographer with a heart made for capturing soul-deep love stories all across the U.S. and beyond.

My work is for the dreamers, the romantics, the wild-hearted. The couples who love deeply, laugh loudly, and dance like no one’s watching. Whether you’re exchanging vows under the Appalachian sky, running barefoot along a Pacific cliffside, or saying “I do” in a centuries-old village across the ocean, I’ll be there, camera in hand, heart wide open.

There’s something electric about the way love feels, it’s soft and bold all at once. My photography style reflects that: a blend of ethereal light and raw, cinematic edge. Think windswept hair, golden haze, gritty black and whites, and the kind of emotion you feel in your chest.

I’m endlessly inspired by music. How a single song can take you back to a moment, a feeling, a heartbeat. That’s how I want your photos to feel. Like your favorite song on repeat. Nostalgic, alive, and completely you.

Why I Do What I Do

To me, photography is more than a job, it’s a devotion. I’m drawn to connection and that quiet in-between magic. The way your hands find each other without thinking. The way your voice catches when you say their name. The laughter, the tears, the unplanned, the perfectly imperfect. That’s the poetry I live to capture.

I believe in photographs that feel like memories, soft, timeless, and dripping with meaning. I want your gallery to feel like stepping back into the most beautiful parts of your day, reliving each moment like it’s happening all over again.

Though I call Virginia home, my heart and my work aren’t bound by state lines. I travel all across the U.S. and internationally for the honor of photographing weddings and elopements. Whether you’re planning a mountainside ceremony in Colorado, a desert elopement in Arizona, or an intimate celebration in Ireland or Italy, I’m ready to follow wherever your love leads.

My couples often say I feel more like a friend than a vendor and that’s exactly how I want it to be. From the moment we first chat, I’m all in. I’ll help with timelines, location scouting, outfit suggestions, emotional support—whatever you need. On your wedding day, I blend in like a friend with a camera, until the reception and then I usually rock out & dance with you too!
