Information

Weddings:

Once you decide on a collection, I will send you a booking link & contract. Both must be completed within 48 hours, we will start planning details, along with your wedding day photography timeline. Travel greater than 50 miles from Bristol, VA will be subject to a travel fee. 50% of the collection price is due to book the date as a nonrefundable retainer And the remaining 50% is due the day of your wedding. If you wish to add a second shooter, it is an additional fee. For Elopement Pricing, please email me with your date and details.

Portraits:

Couple/Engagement - Family- Prom/Senior - Maternity- Model- Styled

Locations more than 50 miles from Bristol, VA. will incur a travel fee. 50% of the package price is due as a nonrefundable retainer to book and the remaining 50% is due the day of the session. Indoor locations will have a fee depending on the venue.

Boudoir:

*Must be 18+ of age* Studio Location is in Bristol, VA. Outfits are not provided. Locations more than 50 miles from Bristol, VA. will incur a travel fee. 50% of the package price is due as a nonrefundable retainer to book and the remaining 50% is due the day of the session. Indoor locations will have a fee depending on the venue, and professional hair & makeup can be added to any package for $150.00

What kind of sessions do you photograph?

Emily Lauren Photography specializes in the following photography sessions: Weddings, Micro-Weddings, Elopements, Engagement/Proposals, Boudoir, Senior/Prom, Couple, Family, Children, Themed, Styled, Portraits, Branding/Headshots, Pet End of Life, Fresh 48, In-home lifestyle, Events/Concerts.

What if I have to cancel my mini or regular session?

Things happen, I totally understand! I usually ask for at least a 24-48 hour notice. Acceptable cancellations are due to sickness, family emergency, death, Acts of God. Retainers/all monies paid are nonrefundable, however I will work with you to reschedule for another date. If you cancel a second time, you will forfeit the retainer and any balance paid.

Do you accept payment plans for Weddings?

Yes. I was a Bride too, so I know how overwhelming & expensive everything can be. Just talk to me about it! Weddings require a signed contract & 50% of the package to reserve your date. The remaining 50% is due two weeks before your wedding date.

Who is your second shooter?

My second shooters will vary. I will choose someone else based on the date/area. Regardless, they will be professional, kind, and have wedding photography experience.

If our event/session runs over, can you stay?

Yes, I can. However there is an overtime rate that you will sign off on before I do.

Do you have insurance?

YES, for sure!

Do you have a contract?

YES. Absolutely.

Do you Travel?

YES. I LOVE to Travel and I do my very best to keep the travel fees low. PLEASE don't hesitate to ask!

What gear do you use?

I am most definitely a Canon girl. I have two Canon 5D Mark IV bodies and multiple lenses.

What's your favorite type of shoot?

Man! That is tough because I love every session. However, I love adventures and love-stories, so anything to do with climbing a mountain or a wedding, I'm super happy.

What's your style?

ROMANTIC | PURE | BRIGHT

I have several honestly. I love bright & airy shots, but I also love dark-romantic matte & saturated colors. It depends on the mood of the session for me. I can't decide on just one editing style, so I let each session speak for themselves.

What do you shoot?

Weddings, Engagement, Boudoir, Families, Portraits, Elopements, Maternity, Prom/Senior, Styled, Models, Couples, and Rainbow Bridge sessions.

What days do you shoot?

It varies based on my schedule, but I will work with you the best that I can. I can shoot on most weekday evenings. Saturdays are mainly for weddings. I prefer to shoot in the late afternoon hours (in between 3-8:30) on the weekdays of Tuesday-Thursday, as these are the best times for "natural light" depending on the seasons.

How do we set up a session?

It's EASY! Just contact me and we will work out your session details.

It's the day of the shoot, how does this work?

Sweet it's session day! We will meet at a designated location and I like to talk with you first before we start shooting. I usually keep talking the whole time while shooting, so no worries, it's very laid-back and FUN! After your session I will have your Online Gallery ready for you within 3 weeks (weddings usually take 8 weeks). I have several printing services that I recommend. Please note that I do not print your photos, however I do give you a print release.

What should I wear?

It really depends on the location of your session, however I can send you a Pinterest board of ideas!

When do I get my photos?

After your session, your online gallery will be ready for you within 3 weeks. However for weddings, it is an 8 week turnaround.

Being the wanderlust soul that I am, I am CRAVING to shoot a few destination weddings. That being said, special deals will be provided if you are getting married in any of the following destinations.
